ISM Conducted Gavel club contest for 13 clubs

Indian School Muscat conducted Gavel club contest for 13 clubs in November 2014. Being the Chief Co-ordinator for conducting the contest was an excellent experience. There were 400 contestants, 75 Judges, 26 Contest chairs & 52 role players

New GRC Toastmasters Club

New  GRC ( Galfar Recreation Club ) Toastmasters club has been formed under Area 70, Division L. It will be registered at the earliest. They meet at Galfar club on 1st & 3rd Sundays 7.30 to 9.30 PM Congratulations

Division L Judges training Friday, 17th October 2014

Dear TM Leaders of Division L 

As you are aware we have scheduled the very important training session for judges/chiefs Judges. 

Let me repeat the essential info.

Date: Friday, 17^th October 2014

Time: 9:30 am – 5:30 pm (With lunch break)

Venue : SBAG Hall,

BAHWAN HEALTH CENTRE BUILDING, ALKHUWAIR

(NEAR SAFEER INTERNATIONAL& OPP. AFRICAN EASTERN )

Charges : R.O. 2 ( Two ) per head

The training is planned as a comprehensive one providing in-depth interactive presentations and workshops. Participants will get an opportunity to put into practice some of the insights and knowledge gained. They will of course receive certificates.

This training is mandatory for those desirous of serving as judges during the speech contests coming up in the months ahead. It will be quite beneficial for prospective speech contestants too as they will get a first-hand idea about the judging criteria and related issues like eligibility and originality. 

Hence may I request all Predents, VP- E and other club officers to motivate their members to attend the training in big numbers. 

In addition to your email communication/appeal please take a few minutes at the regular meeting to stress the importance of the training. 

Confirming the number of members well in advance with your Area Governor with copy to the Div Governor will help in making better arrangements.

I have completed my excellent period of being Division Governor Div.L It was a splendid & enriching journey from 1st July 2013 to 30th June 2014. I have learned a lot of things from you. We started with only 14 clubs. I am Extremely happy to see that we have added 7 new clubs and that many of these clubs are doing extremely well. 15 Clubs have become Distinguished clubs. I am proud and privileged to say that we have taken our Division L to the No.1 position in the District ( As on today ). We have also started 25 new Gavel clubs ( ISM-13, ISD-3, ISWK-2, Srilankan school-3, IS Seeb-4 ) .

9 Clubs became President Distinguished clubs: Khimji, Excel Oman, Paradise, SBAG, DSTM, OTE, Elite, ABC, Ray Toastmasters

4 Clubs became Select distinguished clubs: JES, Milcris, Al Hassan & Domina

2 Clubs became Distinguished Clubs : Al Adrek & Ha Ha hE hE Ho Ho

This would not have been possible without your support.
My Area Governors TM Alex Crasta, TM Jinachandran & TM Alexander Sequiera did a wonderful job by making their Area Presidents Distinguished Area.

My Division Team DTM Clita Crasta ( Asst.Div Governor- E&T),DTM Cyprian Misquith ( Asst.Div Governor -M), PRO TM Ahsan Jalal, Secretary TM Pradeep and Treasurer TM latha Gururaj have motivated me and given support to me from all sides.

My mentor DTM George Thomas was the main source of encouragement.
