Let's be Proactive in Planning and Conducting Excellent Contests....

Dear  Leaders [Presidents & VP-Es],

Warm Greetings!

In Toastmasters, it is going to be contest season soon. As you are aware, it is the club contests that make the club healthy.  Members feel greater loyalty to the club that has a tradition of strong contests. When our members deliver important messages, audience gets inspired. The true success of the contest is the result of an excellent planning, shown when each speaker commits to craft a well-knit speech, refine it, improve by incorporating the feedback received from their mentors, practice thoroughly and make a splendid delivery at the stage.

As per the guidelines received from Division Office, let’s plan and follow the below schedule for conducting various forthcoming contests:

Ø Complete ‘Practice Contests’ during the month of October [before 31st October]
Ø               Complete ’Club Contests’ during November / December [before 31st December]
Ø              With the completion of all the club contests of our Area, we can conduct ‘Area Contest’ in the month of January
Ø               Division Contests [OTAC]’ will be conducted in the month of March
Ø           And you must be aware, this time ‘District Contest [DTAC]’ will be conducted in Oman in the month of April. That is indeed a great opportunity to witness the champion speakers of our region in action.

Needless to mention, it would be a proud privilege for every President and VP-Education to claim that the winners of the Contests are from their club.  Apart from the contestants’ own efforts, it also requires your planning, support, motivation and encouragement.  Let’s proactively encourage all our prospective contestants to begin their preparation in advance and make every attempt to produce maximum winners from our Area.

Good luck!
